A company had an unexpected licencing issues that caused them to potentially go without a license for their load balancers for an undetermined amount of time. With that they made the choice to switch over to nginx as a reverse proxy and round robin load balancer as they were not happy with the vendors response to them trying to buy an emergency license and being met with “our sales team works Mon-Fri. After the dev team initially set up the nginx after about a week there were lingering issues that still needed to be addressed which included continuing with switching routes from the load balancer to the nginx system . I picked up the gauntlet to continue with configurations needed to get the company back into full swing.

Sometimes there are task that will take you outside of the box. The customer had requested that an outside vendor have an account setup with a safe and secure connection to the internal network. I was able to give the account the white glove treatment and also provide a crash course in Citrix for remote app and virtual desktop access.
